I recently got nominated for a Liebster award by StyleTheStreets who is an absolute sweetheart. I always look forward to reading her blog so thank you lovely, I was secretly stuck on what to do my next blog post about – so this came at the perfect time!
To what I understand a Liebster award is an online award that lets you give recognition to the smaller blogs that you’ve been loving. It’s also a fun way to discover and get to know new bloggers. I think it’s a really good idea 🌸
The rules:
- Thank and mention the person who nominated you.
- Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers.
- Create a new set of 11 questions for the blogger to answer.
- List these rules in your post and inform the people/blogs that you nominated.
Lets start answering theses questions! 🙌🏼 💕
Q: What was your life like 5 years ago (what were you doing, are you the same now as you were then etc.)? //A: Life was massively different for me 5 years ago. I was 17 years old, studying travel and tourism in college doing sweet FA. I am now 22, Been with my first boyfriend who’s now my fiance for 4 years! Saving for a wedding, working in retail and just enjoying the little things! I have definitely changed in myself, I was a shy young girl who didn’t do much, see many friends and had low self esteem but now I feel like I am a very confident and social person who is always the first one to make plans! I know who I am and am happy to be me.
Q: Would you change anything about yourself? If yes, what? //A: If we are talking looks there is one thing I would change and that has to be to have glowing, smooth, spot free skin! I have always had a few issues with my skin and I know a few spots aren’t the end of the world but it would be nice if they didn’t exist wouldn’t it?
Q: Do you prefer sweet or savoury food? //A: Hands down savoury! I do love a chocolate bar now and again but the majority of food I love is savoury.
Q: What would be your dream career? //A: I’ve never known what my dream job would be and I hate that. I’m so jealous of people who know what they want to do or work towards! Thinking about it I love reviewing things so as boring as it seems I’d love to be someone who tries new stuff out and writes reviews about them. A bit like a film critic.
Q: What’s 1 fact about you that not many people know? //A: My lucky number is 14! My fiance Joe’s lucky number is 7 and when I told him mine was 14 he said ‘ah makes sense because you’re my double’ which I think is so adorable.
Q: How long have you been blogging? //A: I posted my first blog post in September 2017! So 9 months.
Q: What is your favourite part about blogging? //A: My favourite part about blogging is probably the feeling you get when someone loves something you have written and comments saying they’ve enjoyed reading it or have learned something from it. I also love the fact that everything in real life becomes ‘oohh that would be great to write about in my blog’ so it gives everything added meaning.
Q: If you had to eat 1 meal/type of food everyday for the next 5 years, what would it be and why? //A: Everyday for the next five years?! I couldn’t pick just one meal but type of food – we will go for Italian! Can’t really go wrong with Italian food can you.
Q: What’s one thing you would do if you had no fears? //A: I think scuba diving would be incredible but I would never do it because the whole thing scares the hell out of me.
Q: How do you spend your weekends/time off? //A: Weekends are so precious to me since Joe joined the army because it means seeing him after a week apart. We always plan little trips or fun things to do. I still get so excited to see him every time!
Q: What is something silly you’ve done for your blog? //A: When I was taking the picture for my gingerbread cookies blog post I was looking around for props for the photo and ended up taking the tinsel and snowflake decorations off our Christmas tree which the day before I’d spent hours trying to make look perfect. Oops!
