The Lone pine koala sanctuary had been on my bucket list since we arrived in Queensland.
Myself and my husband had a day off together during the week so decided to travel the hour and half drive down to fig tree pocket.
If you want to spend the day with koala’s, kangaroos, emus and all the other wonderful native animals Australia has to offer then this is the place for you.
You can feed the kangaroos at no extra cost as well as other exciting stuff happening throughout the day including wild lorikeet feeding, free flight raptor experience and the sheep dog show.
If you’ve been to Australia zoo and wildlife HQ this has to be next on your list.
Day passes are $49 for adults.
Recommendations:
Take your own food as there is only limited options.
Ring up and ask if any schools are visiting on the day you wish to go.
