2022 Goals

Hello 2022,

I feel like this year I wasn’t making goals because I wanted to push myself to achieve more. I made them to make sure I’m keeping my mental health on track by doing more things that make me feel happy!

READ 12 BOOKS

Okay time after time I put this one on my New Years goals. 2020 I read 6 – 2021 I think I read 3. This year we will make It to 12 – I know everyone could do with spending less time online, less time watching the news, less time on socials. I think I really need a to cut my social media time in half to be able to keep a positive mindset. So more reading less endless scrolling! First book of 2020: THE SWITCH BY BETH O’LEARLY

8,000 STEPS A DAY

I started this yesterday the 9th Jan – not every goal has to start on the 1/1/22 remember that, everyday is a chance to change your life (if that’s what you want)! I am aiming for the 10,000 but I’ve set my goal as 8,000 on my Apple Watch. I know for a fact I need to exercise more to be healthy – I am the worst for not exercising and moving my body, so walking is an easy way to start me off and get into the habit of having to stick to some form of daily exercise. I have actually just been given the Nintendo switch – Ring fit as an early birthday present which I will do a seperate post about but I am really hoping that it is going to boost my activity levels!

COOK & BAKE MORE

I have really been enjoying cooking lately. I normally put a YouTube video on in the background which really does make the time go quick. Homemade food = healthier food (most of the time) which is why I really want to spend more time in the kitchen. Yesterday I made a gorgeous banana bread (thank you UK lockdown 1.0 2020) and a yummy pasta salad!

YOUTUBE CONTENT

I started my own YouTube channel!! I really wanted to do my version of vlogmas – I uploaded 3 vlogs all including christmassy content. Going forward my goal is to upload 2 vlogs a month. Please go and subscribe!

BE CONSISTENT

I think consistent is the right word. This is the only goal I have made that may come with a little bit of pressure. I sometimes start things and never finish them, for example I will start hobby and if I’m not good at it instantly I won’t keep going with it! I want to be consistent with everything I do and adopt a growth mindset. Everything takes time – no one was born to be good at something they worked their hardest to be good at it!

What are your goals this year?!
